Shoji Screens Australia is located in Mandurah, just 50 minutes south of Perth in Western Australia and has been operating since 2007. We are passionate about delivering excellence in workmanship and providing screens and doors of the highest quality for our clients. We consider our shoji to be pieces of furniture and take pride in delivering work that is unique for your home and stands the test of time.
Shoji Screens Australia aims to keep the dwindling traditional woodwork industry alive in Australia and pass on the benefits of our skills and knowledge to clients. Our products are made by blending traditional Japanese techniques with more modern Western skills and materials.
The company has established strong professional links with the shoji joinery industry in Japan, particularly with the Shiga prefecture group of companies who are members of Japans National Joinery Union consisting of 2,520 companies from 42 prefectural branches. We regularly attend the Shoji Convention in Japan which is held in a different city each year and attracts thousands of delegates and visitors. Shoji Screens Australia is proud to be the first non-Japanese shoji manufacturers to compete and exhibit our work in Japan.
